The Diagnostic Table – Slide 360 | Malignant Connective Tissue Tumours of the Oral and Maxillofacial Region
Explore the diagnostic challenges of malignant connective tissue tumours of the oral and maxillofacial region with Prof. Dr Aadithya B. Urs. Study selected case images independently before the session, then join an expert-led discussion exploring challenging cases, differential diagnoses and a systematic approach to diagnosis. 12 December 2026.
Overview
Malignant connective tissue tumours of the oral and maxillofacial region can pose significant diagnostic challenges, especially because they are relatively rare at these sites and have diverse histopathological appearances.
In this edition of The Diagnostic Table – SLIDE 360, Dr Aadithya B. Urs, Senior Professor and Head, Department of Oral Pathology, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi, will guide participants through challenging cases using a systematic, step-by-step diagnostic approach.
Following the established Slide 360 format, participants will receive selected case images for independent study before the session, allowing them to consider the morphological findings and formulate their differential diagnoses.
During the expert-led discussion, participants will explore the diagnostic reasoning behind each case and the approach to reaching a diagnosis.
Six challenging cases of malignant connective tissue tumours of the oral and maxillofacial region will be explored through independent slide review and an expert-led diagnostic discussion.
What will you gain?
- Experience analysing challenging malignant connective tissue tumours.
- A structured approach to developing and refining differential diagnoses.
