Dr Sandip H. Shah
Dr Sandip H Shah is Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry at GMERS Medical College, Gotri, Vadodara. He completed his MD in Psychiatry from M S University in 1995 and has over three decades of professional experience as a psychiatrist.
His areas of expertise include community mental health, school mental health, and a broad range of mental health issues. He has a special interest in research, evidence-based medicine, and new drug development.
Dr Shah has held several senior academic and administrative positions, including Dean of GMERS Medical College, Godhra; Medical Superintendent of GMERS Medical College, Gotri; and Medical Superintendent of Yagnapurush, a 500-bed facility established for COVID-19 management.
He has also served as President of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Gujarat State Branch, and is associated with international mental health initiatives as Medical Advisor to the MINDS Foundation, USA, and as a collaborator in the Global Mental Health Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, USA. His academic work includes approximately 115 national and international publications, with around 3,000 citations.
